Why I Love Racing

START! Engines roaring.. Everybody is holding their breaths.. Having fingers crossed for their idol.. And then it happens: Lights turns red and after just a few seconds they turn off. People starts to cheer and the sound on the starting line is amazing! Next heartbeat comes in first corner.

First corner! The excitement of who comes first to the corner and do he keep his place, is there any crashes and who leaves the corner in first place.

 

Race weekend in Alastaro, Finland!

Last weekend was the Nordic and Finnish championship in Alastaro western Finland. Emil had a pretty good weekend. Friday practice day was all wet, no good times, just learning the track a bit even he have been on this track two times before.

Saturday started with a 35min long qualifying which ended with 4th place. There was only one QP and this 4th place was the starting place for both races.

and to the lead in the first corner and as a winner over the finish line! Emil said that he didnt really have to push to the limit and it was quite easy. He enjoyed the race and was really satisfied with the result.









Sunday warm up was still dry but after that, bad rain came over the track and mixed all the scheludes! There were some problems in the beginning of Moto3 race. First oil came to the track from one bike on warm up lap, then there was a crash at the first lap of the race and finally they could start the race. Emil got a good start but he is not on his best on wet condition so 5th place, he staid on the bike and had a fight with one Finnish guy so satisfied with the weekend.

Emil is now leading the Nordic Championship after a win at saturday and safe points at sunday!

Spring!!

Spring is finally here! Cant wait to wear my boots and helmet and hit the road.. Honda is waiting in the garage!! Hopefully tomorrow a little sunday ride! ;)

Speed on ice!

Me and Emil, we were doing some riding on ice close to my home town Lappeenranta. Beautiful sunny, warm weather on Finnish lake, couldnt be better condition!

From 2012 to 2013!

Whole weekend the "sponsor hunting" has been going on. I had wrote sponsor letters in Finnish and in English and Emil in Danish. I had contacted few Finnish companies by email, lets hope it leads to something good. And Emil had been searching different companies close to him to contact with letter and going there to talk.
Emil's team's plan for this season would be to race in Swedish Championship, have European championship race and at least one wild card for world championship, if the money is in their pockets.

2012

First Swedish Championship and moto3 race for season 2012. Expectations for moto3 bikes were low but Emil showed to everybody that the bike is competitive and won the race! / Anderstorp, Sweden

Emil racing in 600cc for one weekend. He was 3rd in one race and got the best rookie time / Knutstorp, Sweden 

 Last race of the season and Emil was 2nd in championship! / Karlskoga, Sweden
