Last Swedish Championship race was held in Karlskoga last weekend. Emil Meyer Petersen was there fighting about championship and got silver after hard battles with others riders, tires and braking.
On friday he was fastest on every practice.
Saturday on a qualifying he got 2nd place to the race and finished the race second after championship leader (now winner) Joakim Gulliksen. I got this message after race from Emil: "Very tough and close race! Got overtaken on last lap.. But it was very fun and i'm satisfied!"
Sunday morning was cold, less than 10 degrees, Emil got one safe lap on wet in qualifying and started from 14th place. He got a Fantastic start! From 14th to 2nd in first corner and kept that place!
"It was a tough race i had to keep pushing for first half of the race to keep the others behind me and when Alex came passed me i had to push even more to keep up with him. I couldn't keep up but I was going faster and got a good big gap to Felix in third."
"I had brake problem for the first part of the race and tyre problems caused by little damage to rear rim."
Emil's feelings about this passed season: "It was a good season, I'm satisfied with the season especially after the doubt in the moto3.. Many people was unsecure it could keep up but i have proven it can. I'm happy that i have been on podium in every finished race. I'm very happy for silver, gold was of course the goal but with my two races I didn't finish and Joakim who finished all races. I'm very happy!"
"Now we are just waiting for the answer for the wildcard for european championship"
